Mumford & Sons came to Austin, Texas yesterday and performed a concert as part of the Railroad Revival Tour sponsored by TOMS Shoes. Opening bands that performed included: Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros & Old Crow Medicine Show. This concert was truly special, and I can’t believe that the stage was literally set up RIGHT IN FRONT of our photo studio on 5th street! The Railroad Revival Tour traveled cross country in vintage train as they made 6 stops in major U.S. cities. I took a few photos of their train, and you can see the images below. My office mate Knoxy, who is a killer product photographer told me “that was the most inspirational and spiritual concert I think I’ve ever seen! As an artist, it’s always inspiring to watch someone do something that they are truly gifted at, regardless of what that may be.” Amen.
To top the night off, the band surprised the crowd when they had the Austin High School marching band, a.k.a. The Marching Maroons joined them on stage for the grand finale! This took me back to the first time I saw Mumford and Sons live at the Frequency Music Festival in Austria with La Roux and Muse! What an awesome experience that was!
If you would like to order prints, I have set up a gallery at my online store, and you can get there by following: Mumford & Sons Concert Prints. All of the images you see here will be available at my store, and I will be adding more photos throughout the week. Enjoy!
