This is another personally special wedding to me (Rachael), as Kate is a dear friend that I met on my first trip to Ethiopia in 2007.  I still remember the night that she arrived in Ethiopia at the Cherokee House as she walked into our house we were all sitting around with candles because we had been without power for hours and she jumped right in and rolled with it!  We had the opportunity to spend the next few months together, growing in our friendship and learning about each other’s hearts and some of our common bonds, particularly for international adoption.  We also spent time that summer talking about our hopes to be godly wives and to find godly husbands who really loved the Lord, even more than they would love us.  You have a way of bonding with people quickly and deeply while living together in foreign country so it was such a joy when a few months ago Kate emailed me and said that she had seen some of Geoff’s work on my Facebook page and that she was interested in having Geoff photograph her Philadelphia Wedding.  We always love to travel to new places and I got to tag along to the wedding to assist Geoff!

When I first met Jamin the day of the wedding, I was so thrilled to find out that he truly was the man of God that I know Kate’s heart had waited for.  Kate has one of the most giving, gentle and beautiful spirits that I have ever met in another person and to see her with her “soul mate” was a gift to both Geoff and I, as well as everyone else that was apart of their wedding.  It was truly a special wedding at an beautiful venue called the Merion Tribute House.  The most touching part of the day I think was the ceremony.  Jamin’s dad officiated and you could see his true pride and joy in his son as he made his declaration to take Kate as his wife.  Another big deal, I second shot the ceremony, the first time I have actually picked up a camera since knowing Geoff and I enjoyed it, but just a little bit!  Overall, I hope you enjoy these photos and that by seeing them you can experience the pure love and joy that was present at the wedding celebration! -R
