Inn Above Onion Creek Wedding: J + E

This is a special wedding for me to write about as I had the opportunity to be the day of coordinator for Jessica + Evan’s big day. Jessica first called us two days before our own wedding last May and we immediately knew we were going to love her because she started the conversation with: “You shot a concert of my favorite band, Mumford & Sons, and I love your work and want you to be my wedding photographer!” It was music to Geoff’s ears! Jessica and I quickly bonded over our A-type, plan oriented personalities and our relationship grew as we discussed the aspects of her wedding leading up to the big day this past November. Jessica and Evan wanted more than just a wedding, they wanted an entire weekend of celebrating with their closest friends and family so they decided to rent out the Inn Above Onion Creek and have their weekend festivities there.

All of Jessica’s hard work planning and DIY details payed off as it was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever had the chance to be apart of. The ceremony took place in a small garden at the front of the property, and guests then meandered back to the reception, outside looking over the beautiful Texas Hill Country with a tent, cafe lighting, and a live band. Tiffany Christopher, the lead singer of the band is actually a good friend of Geoff’s that he knows from college when he was at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. The wedding colors were beautiful with copper, navy & peacock accents that made everything look amazing. At the end of the night, after a long day’s work of coordinating vendors, the timeline etc., I took a moment to stop, sit back and watch and what I saw was a truly beautiful celebration, of joy, of oneness. –R
