I met Claire in Dallas at the Arboretum and Botanical Garden a couple of months ago to take her bridals. Having grown up in Dallas, this was actually my first time to visit this place. And If I had to guess, I’d say there were probably 20+ brides/photographers there! No seriously…. it was crazy! I thought it would have been funny to get all the brides together for a group shot, and I wish I would have.

Whenever possible, I try to avoid shooting at the most ‘popular’ locations. Not to say that any of these spots are bad, I just want to give our clients something unique and different every time! And as a rule of thumb, I never shoot at the same place twice. But when one of our clients requests a specific location, of course I listen. I see it as a challenge to find new and creative perspectives no matter where I am! My strategy for the day was to stay away from the crowds, because I didn’t want Claire’s bridals to look like everyone else’s. Here are a few of my favorites:
